The face behind the camera
My name is Maaike, and I live in Arnhem with my husband and son. We’ve also spent some time living in Portugal and have enjoyed travelling around Asia. Plenty of adventures where I was able to capture the most beautiful places with my camera.
Thanks to my father's passion for photography, I became interested in the camera at an early age. Twelve years ago, after completing my basic photography course, I was asked to photograph my first wedding on Terschelling. I was sold right away! Since then I have been able to capture many fantastic couples, families and precious moments.

I speak more English than Dutch on a daily base
Love adventurous and far away trips. From exploring Vietnam by motor to climbing the Rinjani vulcano. Our previous stop was Flores, Indonesia

I always wanted to save stray dogs, and I actually still want to do that
But... Nothing makes me as enthusiastic as creating beautiful and authentic photos. In the evening I really have to stop my editing or shoot preparations on time, otherwise I'm guaranteed to stay awake all night with way too many ideas. I call it fervent enthusiasm.
